CVS Pharmacy Technician (Remote)

Job Summary

CVS Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the pharmacy operations by performing various technical and clerical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• * Medication Preparation: Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications, including counting, labeling, and packaging.
• * Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients by addressing their inquiries, processing prescription orders, and offering medication counseling under the supervision of a pharmacist.

• * Order Processing: Review and process prescription orders, including verifying medication information and ensuring the proper dosage and instructions.
• * Inventory Management: Monitor and manage medication inventory levels, place orders for stock replenishment, and ensure proper storage of medications.

• * Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all federal and state pharmacy regulations, including maintaining accurate records and handling controlled substances in accordance with legal requirements.
• * Technical Support: Assist in the resolution of technical issues related to pharmacy software and equipment.
• * Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medication logs.

• Required Skills and Qualifications

• * Certification: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification or equivalent state certification.
• * Technical Skills: Proficiency with pharmacy software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• * Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.

• * Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks and documentation.
• * Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Experience

• * Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a retail or clinical setting.
• * Experience with Remote Work: Previous experience working remotely is preferred but not required.

• Working Hours

• * Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings, as needed.
