Job Rundown:
The First Officer Experienced is in charge of ensuring that all guests of Horizon Air (QX) travel in safety and have a good time while also maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times. This is a position held by a union.
Principal Functions:
Serve as Second in Command when transporting mail, freight, passengers, or other cargo for commercial purposes. Responsible for all aspects of the flight, including completing all post-flight duties and completing the required paperwork and restrictions prior to takeoff.
To ensure flight safety, adhere to Company Flight Procedures, Company Policies, and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA) for scheduled flights and routes.
Work together to make it possible to fuel a flight, load a plane, handle passengers, etc. in accordance with company policies and procedures, FOM, FARs, and CRFs, and associated duties to transport passengers safely.
Pilots are colleagues both in the flight deck (Cockpit Asset The executives), and with other functional offices.
Pilots are supposed to introduce an expert picture, including prepping norms and disposition, consistently as a vital delegate of the organization to both inner and outer clients.
Skills, education, and experience relevant to the job:
According to FAR 121.436(a)(3), serving as pilot in command in part 121 operations required 200 hours of Prior Qualifying Time that had been approved by the FAA. Candidates will need to show that they have the required flight time. At the time of the interview, the System Chief Pilot and/or Director of Operations will verify all prior qualifying time in the pilot logbooks.
According to FAR 121.436(a)(3), 200 hours as second in command at a part 121 carrier; or 200 hours as a pilot in command at a part 91 carrier flying a multi-engine turbine-powered fixed-wing or powered-lift aircraft with an applicable type rating and an Airline transport pilot license, in accordance with FAR 91.1053(a)(2)(i); or 200 hours in passenger-carrying operations of a turbojet airplane with a passenger-seat configuration of 10 seats or more, excluding each crewmember seat, at a part 135 carrier (per FAR 135.243(a)(1)); or on the other hand
200 hours as pilot in order at a section 135 transporter in traveler conveying tasks of a multiengine plane in a suburbanite activity (per FAR § 135.243(a)(1)); or 200 hours as a pilot in command with a part 135 carrier, a certificate as an airline transport pilot, and, if necessary, an appropriate type rating for that aircraft (per FAR 135.243(a)(1)); or 200 hours of military flight time as a pilot in command of a multiengine turbine-powered fixed-wing aircraft or powered-lift aircraft in an operation requiring more than one pilot, as defined in FAR 121.436 (c)
At least 1,465 hours of all out flight time or R-ATP qualified.
500 flying hours across the country, or 200 if R-ATP or military-qualified.
100 hours of night flight time.
250 complete long periods of flight time as pilot in order including 100 hours of crosscountry flight time and 25 hours of night flight time.
75 hours of flight time with an instrument, either in real or simulated instrument conditions.
25 hours of flight time with multiple engines.
Multi-engine and instrument ratings are included in the FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate.
Should have an ongoing Top of the line FAA Clinical Endorsement.
FCC license confined radiotelephone administrator.
A valid passport that permits unrestricted travel to and from the United States without a TRP is required, as is a valid driver’s license.

The Experienced Hire Bonus is $12,500 for those with 500-999 hours of prior qualifying time and $25,000 for those with more than 1,000 hours of prior qualifying time. Half of the bonus is paid out 12 months after the date of hire, and the other half is paid out 18 months after the date of hire or at the transition to Alaska Airlines via Pathways. Qualifying Prior Flight Time includes hours that are aligned with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) that dictate the requirements for 121 Captain, such as CFR 121.436
Prior Longevity Pay Credit, Part 121:
For pilots with prior part 121 experience, we are providing a longevity match at hourly rates with no cap. The pilot’s year-to-year longevity pay is contingent on maintaining a permanent bid that prioritizes all Captain positions.

All out Remunerations:
The Frozen North Carriers and Skyline Air pay and advantages can differ by organization, area, number of routinely planned hours worked, length of business, and work status.
Per collective bargaining agreement, this position pays.
