About The Invensys Company:

Invensys was a multinational engineering and information technology company based in the United Kingdom. It was established in 1999 through the merger of BTR plc and Siebe plc, both of which had long histories in engineering and manufacturing. The company’s focus was on providing advanced automation, controls, and technology solutions for a variety of industries, including energy, manufacturing, and transportation.

Headquartered in London, Invensys operated globally, with a significant presence in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and other regions. Its products and services ranged from industrial automation and process control systems to rail transportation management and energy solutions. Invensys was known for its expertise in automation and control technologies, offering solutions to help industries optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance safety.

In 2014, Invensys was acquired by Schneider Electric, a French multinational corporation specializing in energy management and automation. This acquisition aimed to strengthen Schneider Electric’s position in the automation market and broaden its offerings to clients worldwide. Following the acquisition, Invensys was integrated into Schneider Electric’s broader operations, further enhancing the latter’s capabilities in industrial automation and control.

Overall, Invensys had a significant impact on industrial automation and control systems, providing innovative solutions that helped shape the way industries managed their operations and processes. Its legacy continues within the broader Schneider Electric portfolio, contributing to the ongoing evolution of industrial automation and energy management technologies.
