Goal of the role:

We are looking for colleagues who are positive and self-motivated to join our dynamic outbound sales team. You will develop relationships with Business Card holders as a Tele Sales Consultant and make solutions for American Express based on their requirements.

The Tele Sales Consultant’s primary focus is using phone-based selling to acquire new commercial customers whose annual company revenues range from $500,000 to $10 million. The ideal candidate will be able to call potential customers and provide them with business solutions through the American Express business suite of products with perseverance and tenacity using consultative selling skills.

The Tele Sales Consultant should be interested in continuing their career development, have a strong executive presence, and have a keen eye for business. As they advance in their sales careers at American Express, Tele Sales Consultants will have the opportunity to participate in a field sales career path program where they will receive mentorship, training, job shadowing, and leadership support.

Responsibilities:

Utilizing American Express’s target lists, make outbound calls to business owners whose annual revenues range from $500 to $10 million.

Participate in phone consultations with business owners and decision-makers to learn about their requirements and suggest the appropriate American Express Business products.

Maintain a high level of product and service expertise, clearly convey relevant product features, benefits, and other aspects of American Express Small Business products, and

Lead a pipeline of potential customers effectively.

Always try to improve important selling skills like establishing rapport, comprehending the requirements of customers, handling objections, and closing sales.

Follow the American Express Leadership Behaviours, GCS Sales Practices and Standard Operating Procedure, and Blue Box Values.

advocate for and champion of compliance within the US SME and GCS.

 

Qualifications:

Experience making outbound sales calls for inside sales.

Experience conducting cold calls is an asset.

Knowledge of working in a highly regulated industry

The Salary Band: The expected hourly pay range for this job requisition is between $20.00 and $31.25 plus benefits and a sales incentive. We will ultimately take your location, experience, and other job-related factors into consideration when determining your pay.
