Role & Responsibilities:
Being proactive and anticipating how to help salespeople on the desk
Work side-by-side with salespeople, traders, and research analysts, to gain a comprehensive understanding of all three major fixed income groups (Rates, FX & Credit) including credit fundamentals, relative-value analysis, macro strategy and pricing models.
Expected to develop the ability to effectively facilitate desk-client interaction, to develop the analytical skills necessary for the cultivation of innovative trade ideas, and to understand the credit and macroeconomic environment.
Daily responsibilities include developing timely trade and investment ideas, staying current on research and relative-value proposals, as well as analyzing trading flows and their implications.
Preparation of internal materials and client pitches
High involvement and interaction with other areas, such as middle office, legal, compliance, risk, among others
Working on the day-to-day client relationship, helping clients solve any issues or needs that might arise
