JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is in search of a skilled Fabric Assistant to join our team in London. In this role you will support the Fabric Development team in delivering the end to end fabric development process in their respective collection.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Inputting and updating PLM, ensuring accuracy is maintained throughout the collection
Working closely with the Fabric Developers to ensure a good relationship is maintained with manufacturers and suppliers and shipments are delivered on time and to budget
Prepare and update fabric pages for collection boards and fabric bibles
Enter and maintain accurate fabric information in the database and files
Maintain fabric library and provide support to the fabric development team and design team regarding fabric information
Raise POs in SAP for fabric sample lengths
Supporting the with administrative tasks as required.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Some Fabric Development experience required
Proficient in handling large-scale data entry, ensuring complete detail and accuracy even when working at speed
Commercial acumen in fabric cost management and budget tracking
Effective communicator, able to effectively and clearly share information within the team
Deep understanding and enthusiasm for fashion and textiles, including trends, the market and luxury consumer preferences
Proven ability to adapt, innovate, and problem-solve in fast-paced environments
Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail
Proficiency in PLM, Excel, and InDesign
