We are looking for a Collections Specialist eager to focus on our EverConnect brands. As a Collections Specialist, your main responsibilities will be to contact clients and collect outstanding payments. This is a great opportunity to join a talented group of customer success and accounting professionals and broaden your knowledge and expertise.

Responsibilities:

– Monitor and oversee collection efforts for several companies in various billing systems to identify overdue accounts

– Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.

– Contact customers with overdue accounts daily to resolve outstanding balances or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments

– Review collections for errors, working with accounting and operations teams to correct

– Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer

Process payments in multiple billing systems

– Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing

– Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress

– Assist with special projects

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

– 2-5 years of collections experience

– Good listening, negotiating, and problem-solving skills

– Strong attention to detail

– Ability to have patience, think critically, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

– Strong verbal and written communication skills

– Highly motivated with the ability to work independently

– Intermediate Excel skills

– Familiar with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other laws governing debt collection practices

– Ability to work with high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Cmpensation: The target base compensation for this position is $20.00 to $25.00 USD per hour in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
