This Facilities Engineering role focuses on the operation of well pad surface infrastructure and pipelines and is part of an integrated team within Montney operations. This role works closely with site operations, and the Production Delivery Team, leveraging an engineering skillset to extract maximum value from the facilities while carefully managing the Health, Safety and the Environmental impacts related to operations.

Support and adhere to ConocoPhillips Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system
Ensure HSE issues are given priority consideration by complying with all corporate and operating procedures to align with corporate safety standards and expectations
Well pad surface facilities area management and optimization (including choke valves, sand cyclones, separators, and pipelines)
Daily operational process performance monitoring and troubleshooting as well as reporting on infrastructure KPIs (key performance indicators)
Evaluating and proposing solutions to operational and equipment challenges
Participate in hazard and operability reviews (HAZOPs) and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
Manage minor scope engineering changes from conception to implementation
Manage the portfolio of multiple short – medium term opportunities
Provide new well pad engineering assurance to Capital Projects team
Demonstrate strong SPIRIT values and be recognized as a technical specialist for the Business Unit.

Basic/Required Qualifications:
Recognized degree in Engineering from an accredited university
Active professional membership with EGBC (Engineers and Geoscientists BC)
4+ years’ experience in Oil & Gas
Experience and ability to work within a team-oriented and diverse cultural environment
Strong written and oral communications skills
Able to establish and manage priorities
Occasional travel and coordination with the site operation

Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of oil and gas experience related to well surface infrastructure and pipelines
5+ years of experience in the design/construction/management of large or small Oil & Gas Production/Processing Facilities
Knowledge of Technical Standards (CSA, API, ASME, ASTM, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to work closely with diverse field personnel
Knowledge of upstream production operations from wellbore to sales point
