As a Senior Analyst, Pricing you will primarily focus on strategic pricing, pricing analysis, retail and margin analysis, and competitive intelligence. You will develop a deep understanding of the Front Store business across all CVS Hispanic formats identify and assess pricing opportunities, and partner with the Director of Growth and Planning to develop promo & regular pricing strategy within a category for value perception to the customer.
The Senior Analyst, Pricing will frame business opportunities, structure pricing analytics, develop insights, recommendations, and presentations for the Merchandising leadership team. In addition, you will drive efficiency and rigor of the merchant’s decision making.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Analyst will drive the analysis and execution of pricing and promotion strategy and tactics.
Exceptionally strong analytical and math skills are required, along with experience manipulating large data sets using internal data warehouse systems.
Conduct analysis to support pricing initiatives, adding rigor to existing methodologies and developing key metrics and analytics to support pricing strategy and tactics.
Gather data and perform complex analyses manipulating large data sets to create thoughtful, robust business analyses, develop insights, and recommendations.
Become the pricing expert in understanding the competitive landscape.
Utilize internal pricing optimization tools to develop reports and strategic pricing recommendations that Category Merchants can use to improve sales and margin.
Work with Directors and Category Managers to develop regular price strategy within a category for value perception to the customer.
Work alongside the Pricing Analytics team to measure results of price changes, and price tests.
Oversees Competitor Retail Analysis – Monthly analysis of Competitor Retails and how we align by comparison to provide strategic recommendations of item retails that maintain our position as a price leader in the market, while protecting the overall margin rates found within our stores.
Margin Opportunity Analysis – Track product assortment’s cost and retails to ensure that all items are being sold at margin levels consistent with the overall strategy. Provide recommendations for products in need of retail correction based on analysis of overall competition as well as margin requirements.
Oversee Cost / Retail Change Audit Compliance – Ensure that cost / retail change processes are followed and remain compliant with the standards and guidelines as directed by the Internal Price Change Administration.

Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have
Proven leadership and collaboration skills are required to create strong cross functional relationships with Category Management, Pricing, Store Operations, Marketing, etc.
5+ years as a business analyst role in an analytical function, preferably in retail or consumer industry
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, comfort with writing formulas, etc.
Experience with utilizing internal data warehouse systems to pull data metrics for analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as the ability to analyze data and provide strategic recommendations based on their findings.
Ability to travel 5-10% of the time.
