We are looking for a Data Engineering Lead to join our Technology Team at easyJet Holidays to manage our growing Data Engineering and Machine Learning (ML) Engineering functions.

Reporting into the Head of Data, you will build and grow our Data Engineering team and implement new MLOps standards and tooling to enable the delivery of various Data Science projects. You will have 3 main responsibilities;

> Leading the Data Engineering function for easyJet holidays. Working closely with the Data Architecture team and the Data Analytics team, design and implement a robust DataOps framework to deliver all Operational and Analytical data requirements.
> Working with the Data Science team to build out the Python Software Engineering / Machine Learning capability for easyJet holidays. Develop and roll-out a robust MLOps framework which aligns with similar standards developed for Data Engineering
> As a member of the Data Leadership team, provide mentoring and coaching to your own direct reports as well as the wider Data team.

What you’ll bring to the team:

This role will have a high degree of autonomy so we are looking for someone with experience in establishing new tools and frameworks in a rapidly changing start-up environment. You will have a mixture of experience across Data Engineering and Python Software Engineering, ideally with prior experience in Model Development / Machine Learning, and experience in establishing and developing with ETL/ELT tooling e.g AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, dbt etc.

You’ll have a track record of managing complex, technical data teams with a variety of disciplines and objectives, demonstrable experience of delivering successful, data-oriented products, and be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and representing the needs of the team to secure funding and resources to deliver on the teams objectives.

The role is full-time and based at our easyJet holidays HQ near Luton Airport. We operate a hybrid working model with three in-office days per week.
