Automation QA Engineer for Ford Pro Insure will contribute to the development of new digital products for Ford Credit Commercial customers. Automation QA Engineer for Ford Pro Insure will

Apply technology towards successful project implementation and ongoing support.
Apply software skills to focus on testing strategy, governance, and test support for projects
Collaborate with the team to help make well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous testing issues and establish the test approach and direction for the project.
Work closely with other stakeholders & teams across Ford Credit

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate within an agile team providing input for product backlog, sprint planning, story development and testing, demos, and team retrospective
Provide estimates and timelines for test automation and projects
Define, establish, extend and maintain test automation libraries, frameworks and tooling solutions, primarily focused on Automated Smoke, Functional and Regression Testing efforts
Create and execute system, regression, and integrated tests across multiple environments as changes are promoted and staged for production
Develop and execute test automation scripts using tools/frameworks
Incorporate test automation into CI / CD process
Gain test script sign off from QA/Dev Managers on the test scripts.
Provide training and guidance for QA practices and the automation efforts
Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
Depending on size and complexity of project, may also be assigned to perform duties of project.

QUALIFICATIONS

Functional & Technical Skills

Ability to convert complex business, technical requirements and use cases to test cases and test plans
Experience working on cloud and digital platforms
Experience with Lean and Agile methodologies & eXtreme Programming
Experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, designers, and product owners
Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your communication style to the audience
Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision making in a rapidly changing environment

Required Work Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
4+ years of experience in development of automation test cases preferable in a SaaS environment.
Strong hands-on experience with Cypress, Selenium or RestAssured for automation frameworks.
Superior Javascript skills required
Experience working directly with JMeter, LoadRunner, Karate API, YAML, Postman
Superior knowledge of agile best practices, continuous testing in a CI/CD environment such as GCP DevOps
Experience with SCM tools like GitHub, JIRA, familiarity with SQL
Experience with Cucumber (BDD) is a plus.
Basic knowledge of Cloud Architecture, Cloud Security; Cloud platforms
Strong communication skills; must be able to work in a self-driven manner within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Ability to quickly learn, apply new technologies
P&C Insurance industry experience required
