The role

The Imagination IT team support systems and services for staff across our global locations, enabling the engineering excellence behind the latest hi-tech products.

Joining the IT team, you will use solutions from the world’s leading providers to deliver a first-class support service to our user community, regardless of their location. You will also be responsible for identifying areas for improvement, ensuring operational resilience and compliance, and assisting our operational development.

Working within the IT Infrastructure team, you will help support a range of modern technologies, plus other bespoke, industry-specific solutions. Your role will include, but not limited to:

Physical installation and management of all Lab (FPGA) and Data Centre solutions
Server and storage administration
Providing 3rd line support to the global Service Delivery team
Microsoft 365 tenant configuration and management
Authentication and application management
Managing the Imagination Cloud presence
Testing and delivering User Experience improvements

You’ll have:

Strong problem determination skills
Experience of supporting Linux workstations – ideally Ubuntu
Experience of supporting Windows operating systems (server, desktop, dual-boot)
OS and Application patching / WSUS
Systems Monitoring – Grafana / Zabbix
Physical system commissioning skills – server, desktop, and peripherals
Hands-on engineering: Soldering, scopes, irons, testbench, crimping, PCB pin-outs etc
Experience supporting M365/O365 suite.
Active Directory and/or Azure infrastructure management experience
Understand network support essentials – DHCP, DNS, routing etc
Messaging – Microsoft Exchange Hybrid environments
Backup or DR experience, ideally using Commvault

You might also have:

ITIL qualification
Experience in a Data Centre and/or ESD Lab environment
Experience supporting an international user-base
Bash/Python experience
MySQL database experience
SharePoint administration experience
