We are looking for a Funky Tech (Functional System Analyst) to provide ongoing management of our HRIS System (Banner) and its interfaces with other systems, as well as functional use support, process improvement, and support for our Human Resources & Finance team. This position is crucial to the efficiency and alignment with the organization’s goals of the internal personnel, budget, and payroll processes and systems.

 

There is a good balance of technical, functional, and support-related work in this position. You will collaborate closely with the Finance, HR, and IT teams to ensure that automation and system enhancements are successfully implemented, as well as troubleshoot system issues and implement best practices across the organization.

 

Your day-to-day duties will vary, but they won’t be limited to:
analyzes the procedures and processes that are in place in the functional user departments, identifies issues and areas where they can be improved, and proposes enhancements and solutions.
in the functional user departments, develops, designs, and implements new procedures and processes.
manages projects and tickets to resolution efficiently and makes recommendations for additional development based on requirements as a liaison between functional user departments and Information Technology.
assists the IT Developer team directly in project communication and management.
assists in the development, configuration, testing, and implementation of approved applications, such as web forms and interfaces, among other things.
forms, documentation, and manuals are created and kept up to date as needed for applications’ successful implementation, upkeep, and continued operation.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the team and technical staff to test upgrades, fix problems, and make sure that the HRIS (Banner) and other organizational systems work together seamlessly. In addition to ensuring that the HRIS remains user-friendly and up to date, this position plays an essential role in driving system automation and process enhancement.

 

Education:
A bachelor’s degree is required. The preferred degree is a bachelor’s.
Preferential Needs:
Knowledge of student information systems and relational databases PeopleSoft, Banner, Jenzabar, etc.) Preferably familiarity with Banner.
familiarity with payroll procedures; preferred.
Excellent computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office desktop tools (Outlook, Excel, and Word). Ability to read and comprehend SQL queries’ functional logic.
Knowledge of business requirements analysis, documentation, and modification.
Utilization of reporting software, experience in data analysis and reporting.
ability to identify and fix application errors.
