Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineer to work as part of a team that supports satellite communication (SATCOM) activities, in addition to enterprise-wide systems engineering support. This position is a part of an integral 24/7 Operations environment. Must have the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and overtime on a regular basis. Availability for non-scheduled call-ins is required. The job assignment also requires working a rotating day/night shift schedule, assigned based on the adaptable needs of the team.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Operations and maintenance of complex software and hardware systems.
Report and document anomalous performance and interact with other team members to perform corrective actions.
Cross-train in other assigned areas and assist with the training of other personnel on the contract team.
Support test and/or operational activities as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience u.

SATCOM, IT systems, and/or RF test equipment.
Lift 50 lbs. safely.
Work in elevated heights.
Assigned tasks to meet technical objectives.
Problem-solving in time-critical situations
An active and in-scope TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Troubleshooting methodologies for diagnosing system problems.
Experience training a wide range of learning techniques and styles.
Proficient use of Windows and Linux platforms.
