About the Role
We’re seeking a Power BI Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be assisting the Technical Lead in transforming data into actionable insights through the designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining excellent Power BI reports that turn raw data into actionable insights. Our focus is on delivering high-quality BI reports primarily leveraging Microsoft Azure data and BI services, alongside Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data analysis and a desire to learn and grow in the field of business intelligence.
SSP are undergoing a technology transformation with board support for IT investment. We have a portfolio of strategic priorities and a clear vision. We want an energetic Power BI Engineer to join Group Digital and Technology as part of the Data and Analytics team to help shape BI engineering practice delivering strategic analytics and insight solutions for the SSP business.
SSP Social Media Support Jobs – Work From Home
Main Duties
Assist in design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
Assist in data modelling activities including data cleansing, transformation, and integration to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Assist in the design and implementation of data visualization best practices to enhance user experience.
Document data sources, report specifications and development processes to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.
Collaborate with data engineers and other IT teams to integrate Power BI with existing systems.
Use basic SQL to build views that will provide the necessary insight to produce detailed lineage reports.
Support the continuous improvement of data quality and integrity by identifying and resolving data discrepancies.

Essential:
Proficiency in utilizing Power BI and Microsoft Excel for data visualization and analysis.
Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Good organisation and time management skills to meet project priorities and deadlines.
Desirable:
Experience of data integrations including web services/APIs.
Proven knowledge and experience of Microsoft data and BI solutions.
