The primary work takes place at the Oslo office, with regular visits to Sutton and Aberdeen Subsea7 offices plus occasional international travel.

4Subsea, our subsidiary, collaborates with us to develop a range of solutions in their data platform 4insight. These solutions can encompass both software and hardware components.

This is a role within Digitalisation with reporting lines to the Vessel Data Initiative member of the Project Leadership Team (PLT).

This role will see you;

Collaborate with various teams across Subsea7 and Seaway7, including Digitalisation, Fleet Transformation, Engineering and Projects & Offshore Operations
Work with 4Subsea to create additional applications and explore other business opportunities
Engage with stakeholders within Subsea7 and Seaway7 to transform vessel data into actionable concepts

The role will challenge you to work in an agile ways of working whilst providing you with excellent opportunities to develop new skills and gain exposure to the wider Subsea 7 and Seaway 7 organisation.

What will you be doing?

Facilitate training sessions for Subsea7 personnel on the effective use of the 4insight platform
Engage with different regions & functions, both in Subsea 7 and Seaway 7 to promote the benefits of 4insight
Drive the adoption of 4insight, acting as a champion for change and data-centric culture
Guide the development by 4Subsea of identified initiatives to meet Subsea7 business needs and support the wider development of digital services for 4Subsea
Co-ordinate workshops at Subsea7 offices to delve into 4insight data sets and promote data exploration
Collaborate with Subsea7’s data acquisition team to translate ideas into mission equipment connectivity specifications
Develop business cases for the development of tools that explore our data and release the value
Lead the relationship between Subsea7 Digitalisation team and 4Subsea

What experience would we like you to have?

We seek candidates with Level 2 to Senior Engineering experience. Additionally, we are also looking for:

Changing old habits is tough, you will be enthusiastic about developing new ways of working and promote the benefits of standardisation and repeatability.
Familiarity with Subsea7 Operations and a solid understanding of vessel equipment are highly desirable.
Excellent communication is vital for success in this role. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in any other language is a welcome bonus.
Be open to acquiring new skills, including software development frameworks, project management, and workshop planning.
