You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a Learning & Development Strategy for the Global Institutional business. Working with the US and International Sales Leaders, your role is to accelerate the knowledge of Nuveen products, asset classes, competitive landscape, regulatory and business practices, technological platforms, as well as knowledge and incorporation of critical selling and other advanced skills (The Nuveen Way) that contribute to the organization’s success.

As the learning and development lead for EMEA and APAC, your knowledge of both the institutional business and best-in-class client engagement and sales processes will help align our capabilities with the needs and opportunities for the broader Global Client Group. You will support all learning and development programs relevant to the space, working with key stakeholders within Nuveen, TIAA, Investments, Product, Marketing and others across the firm. You likely bring a Learning & Development or Sales Effectiveness/Enablement background and enjoy solving problems.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

In conjunction with the Heads of Sales and Learning and Development, conduct learning needs analyses, create and implement an education strategy and business plan for the EMEA and APAC Institutional business to align with the Global Institutional business strategy

Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan that supports and institutionalizes The Nuveen Way client engagement and sales process; implement effective measurement of efficacy and impact and report on that regularly to stakeholders

Create and implement learning journeys, assessments, action plans for relevant Institutional sales and product roles coach sales professionals and leaders on incorporating best practices across their teams

Work closely with key business partners across the organization to facilitate educational solutions tied to Nuveen products and asset classes (new product launches, portfolio updates, asset class and market review, solutions, firm initiatives and other investment related content)

Expand and manage the Client Enquiries Database to facilitate access to consistent and approved product and client case studies, objections/answers, ideas, success stories and process best practices across US, EMEA and APAC marketplace

Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s investment strategies and capabilities relevant for the global wealth, insurance and institutional space (alternatives, credit, UCITs, etc.)

Deliver and facilitate content for new hires within the Global Institutional and Americas business channels

Manage vendors or third-party partners delivering learning services to ensure quality learning design

Leverage technology to scale learning solutions across a global internal client base

Travel within the markets periodically to build deeper stakeholder relationships

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of experience

Experience in financial services or investment experience required

Learning & Development or instructional design experience strongly preferred

Experience working with institutional clients is a plus

Supervision/management experience is a plus

Ability to quickly build strong relationships across different cultures and global regions

Sales background or sales effectiveness experience a plus

Project management experience

Highly organised

Proven success in facilitation and delivery of training and assessment programmes

Strong MS Office skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting in front of 100+

Ability to work independently on projects and a self-starter; strong time management skills

Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization across multiple business areas

Important: Position works on a global team and will frequently require meeting outside of a standard workday schedule
