Position Summary
Execute all activities involved in the operations and scheduling of vessels operating on behalf of Valero, by performing the following duties in accordance with Valero’s safety and environmental standards.
Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Duties:
Organize and implement the most cost effective means of transporting Company products.
Ensure fulfilment of Company obligations to its suppliers and customers; protecting Company interests in all dealing within the area of responsibility.
Ensure all activity is properly encoded in computer system and communicated in the proper format to those necessary.
Coordinate all activities with appropriate Company departments; maintaining operational files and approving all costs associated with each individual product movement.
Some independent travel required; Less than 10%.
Must be available to answer calls and resolve problems 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s of Science degree preferred.
0-2 years industry or marine transportation experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of oil industry operations, and standard industry practices.
Excellent PC skills with ability for cost analysis, mental calculation, and presentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
Strong technical knowledge to effectively organize and implement tasks
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to independently conduct job accountabilities based on a technical knowledge of functions, and advise others of restrictions and practices which affect the Company
