Specific Functions of a Care Associate:
The Care Associate provides neighborhood residents with care to meet their day-to-day needs and enable them to perform at their highest level, such as:

Assists with the selection of menu items and snacks and collaborates with Dining in Serving to ensure that all residents receive an adequate amount of nutrition. accommodates requests for in-room dining experiences. Helps inhabitants with eating on a case by case basis. ensures that the resident’s room and neighborhood are kept clean to reduce environmental hazards that could affect environmental safety. Responds promptly to all requests or concerns from residents with the goal of finding a solution that meets the individual’s needs and always shows courtesy and respect. Maintains a polite, upbeat, and professional demeanor even in challenging circumstances and collaborates with other residents of the neighborhood to fulfill every resident’s desires and needs. implements each resident’s individualized care plan in an efficient manner, concentrating on the resident’s strengths, preferences, and routines while simultaneously fostering a sense of comfort, companionship, and belonging. protects the privacy of residents. promptly informs clinical staff of any alterations in a resident’s condition. Programming:
Throughout a resident’s day, the resident’s individual habits, preferences, desires, and interests drive spontaneous activities. Throughout their workday, staff will continue to support resident-driven activities like:
visits residents who are residing in their rooms or common areas on a regular basis to inquire about their wants and needs and to assist them in participating in the neighborhood’s daily activities. works with other team members (residents and/or staff) to get residents involved in activities of daily living and keep the neighborhood running smoothly (like doing laundry, cooking, planning meals, serving them, and cleaning up after themselves, etc.). assists residents with their daily activities. Ceaselessly looks for valuable chances to meet inhabitant’s psychosocial needs through arranged care, neighborhood explicit programming as well as unconstrained occupant coordinated exercises. Gives open doors to all occupants to partake in the decision-production of the area in significant ways. Fundamental PC abilities required.
EXPERIENCE and/or education:
Should be no less than 18 years old
Current confirmation and dynamic status from the State Leading group of Nursing is required.
Active registration on the Geriatric Nursing Assistant registry and current certification (required only for MD).
The preferred certification is current CPR.
One to two years CNA/GNA experience liked.
Skills in Language:
It is necessary to be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATES, and licenses:
Attend all required training as necessary to satisfy community procedures and/or State requirements. Current certification and active status from the State Board of Nursing. Current certification and active status on the Geriatric Nursing Assistant registry (only for Maryland).
