Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Fleet Operations Manager:
Oversee and keep an eye on electronic databases that contain information about vehicles and equipment, registrations, oil changes, all damages, all repairs, gas cards, gas card pins, and rabbit repairs and replacements whenever vehicles are grounded.
Keep accurate equipment inventories and monitor fleet usage.
Ensure that the fleet is readily available to fulfill all Amazon requests.
Make certain that the fleet’s maintenance records are accurate and current.
As needed, participate in the recruitment and selection of maintenance staff and fleet drivers.
Make certain that each vehicle has a vehicle number, two gas card pins, insurance information, the Emergency Policy and Procedures, and a holder for a cell phone.
manage the scheduling of all repairs and oil changes.
oversee all claims for insurance.
oversee Amazon Logistics’ fleet system.
take charge of the Fleet Commander System. must constantly ensure that this system is accurate and current. Always immediately replace the pin in the event that the gas card or pin is stolen.
To ensure cost savings, plan, process, and carry out vehicle and equipment acquisitions, leases, rentals, and vehicle replacements.
Provide recommendations regarding fleet replacement and utilization based on an analysis of maintenance costs.
To ensure maximum efficiency, communicate maintenance requirements and take necessary corrective actions.
Contribute to the creation of policies and procedures for fleet maintenance and ensure compliance with Amazon’s policies and standard operating procedures for fleet maintenance.
Essential responsibilities and duties of a delivery associate include:
drives a van from the home office to the designated locations of customers.
uses a handheld device to keep track of time, communicate with the home office/dispatch, and obtain information about customer delivery and routing.
Whether or not reasonable accommodations are made, loads and unloads packages into and out of the van.
must be able to move 70-pound boxes, with or without any accomodation at all
