 Workshare Social Media Support Jobs

Responsibilities:

Typical duties may include:

Assist the Digital Marketing team to maintain and support the content and services across our digital platforms.
Helping to monitor website and social media performance and analytics.
Helping to prepare campaign reports and reviews.
Identifying and collating content for use on digital platforms.
Helping to create and plan social media campaigns.
Create and produce digital assets for social, web and digital marketing activities.
Helping to update public-facing content on the department website and SharePoint resources.
Supporting digital editorial tasks
Preparing and proofing digital content for publication.
Updating website content.
Updating editorial calendars.
Help provide monitoring and response capacity for corporate social media channels, triage emerging issues and respond to audience queries via social media monitoring and publishing software.
Helping support the delivery of internal online forums and training.
Helping with the planning and delivery of internal in-person events.
Working collaboratively with colleagues in the department to support photo or video shoots.
Triage of team email addresses and respond to queries where appropriate.

What will you learn?

You will take an SQA Diploma in Digital Marketing, at SVQ level 6. You will be able to take a wide range of courses from levels 5-7, to achieve 65 Credits.
Potentially work towards an SQA Creative Media at SVQ level 7 depending on aptitude, progress and subject to funding.
You will develop your ‘soft skills’ (e.g. communication skills, working in an organisation, interpersonal skills, customer service, using your own initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, etc.).
You will learn about marketing and using digital platforms as a key part of the marketing mix.

What Qualifications/Qualities are Required?

We are looking for an individual who is proactive, friendly, flexible and understands the importance of teamwork.
Enthusiastic, willing to learn, punctual, reliable, committed and self-motivated with great attention to detail.
National 5 or above including English and Maths, good writing skills are also required.
A working understanding of Microsoft Office suite or similar e.g. Excel and Word.
Excellent ability to think logically and pass on information in a clear concise manner, written and verbally.
A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
An interest in social media, marketing and digital communications.
A willingness to participate in a Modern Apprentice programme.

Desirable

Evidence of digital design or artistic aptitude and potential.
Experience of working in an office-based environment.
